Teaching

The Department of Political Science and Research Methods is responsible for all courses in research methodology and (quantitative) data analysis offered by the School of Management and Governance. This includes courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD level. Faculty members also teach several courses on European Studies (BSc, MSc) and Public Administration (BSc, MSc).

Since September 2005, the department (jointly with the School of Behavioural Science) is offering an innovative 2-year M.Phil. programme on Social Systems Evaluation and Survey Research. This unique research degree is aimed at students with a background in the social and behavioural sciences who are interested in advanced training in programme evaluation and survey research. Graduates will be well-qualified to take up research positions in government agencies, the private sector and international organizations or to conduct doctoral studies.

Faculty members teach several post-doctoral courses at a national level (for the research schools IGS, NIG, NOBEM) as well as master-level and other courses for managers in the public and private sectors.
